Humidity Control

Crystal Air & Water, Inc. professionals understand how the right humidity level in your home can increase comfort and decrease heating and cooling bills. We also know mold and mildew thrive in a humid environment where allergies and arthritic conditions are aggravated. Variable speed air handlers can remove 24 gallons of water a day in Florida’s climate, that’s 4 times more than a conventional air handler.

Air cleaners

Indoor air pollution poses a threat to respiratory health and everyone should consider doing the most to improve the quality of indoor air. TRANE Clean Effects cleaners minimize the ill effects of indoor air pollutants, such as dust, pet dander, pollen, and chemicals, as well as reduce airborne viruses and bacteria. Crystal Air & Water, Inc. professionals are experienced in air quality evaluation and they are prepared to help you assess your family's air health needs.

Did you know? A new Trane Clean Effects system will remove 99.98% of allergens from your home. The filtrared air will remove dust, pollen, mites, smoke, bacteria, lint, fungus and mildew........CLEAN

UV Lights

UV Lights can prevent mold growth on the evaporator coil. Honeywell UV Lights can destroy many virus types, mold, and bacteria.

Duct Cleaning & Sanitizing

Your duct system functions as the respiratory system of your home. Dust, dirt, pollen, animal dander and other airborne contaminants are pulled into your duct system every time the heating and cooling system runs. These contaminants build up inside the ductwork over time and can help make your duct system an ideal breeding ground for mold spores, bacteria, fungus, mildew and other microbes.

The removal of contaminants from the entire HVAC system is recognized by industry experts as the most effective way to eliminate air duct pollutants. This is referred to as the "source removal" method of duct cleaning. In addition to the obvious health benefits, duct cleaning can help you maintain a cleaner home. Crystal Air & Water, Inc., owns and maintains the most advanced " source removal " equipment available. This high tech, state-of-the-art system is used by leading professional duct cleaners throughout North America, and is widely recognized as the most significant break through in duct cleaning equipment technology in the past 30 years.

The key components of this system are the patented HEPA-AIRE portable power vacuum and the AIRE-SWEEP compressor. This system enables our trained technicians to reach and thoroughly clean your entire duct system with minimal noise and disruption.

• First the HEPA-AIRE power vacuum is connected to the duct system near the furnace.
• Next, 1 inch access holes are drilled into the air ducts.
• Long lengths of air hose with special 360° high velocity nozzles are connected to the compressor and "snaked" through the entire duct system dislodging debris that has accumulated on inner duct surfaces. The HEPA-AIRE unit creates a powerful vacuum, pulling dislodged contaminants into its filtration system. This filtration system is so efficient that is captures contaminants 1/300th the diameter of a human hair and returns filtered " hospital grade" air to your home.

Once your duct system has been cleaned, we reseal all access holes and your ducts are returned to "like new" condition.

Duct Leak Sealing

Air ducts are the components of your central system which distribute conditioned air to various parts of your home. Supply ducts carry the air to the individual rooms of home, and the return ducts carry the air back to the air handler or furnace. Ducts are manufactured from various materials including; rigid fiberglass ductboard, sheet metal and flex duct ( a wire reinforced mylar inner liner with fiberglass insulation wrapped around it, and a durable vapor barrier on the outside ). A leaky duct system can double the cost of keeping your comfortable. Recent studies by the State of Florida Energy Office, Florida Solar Energy center, and researchers around the world show that duct leakage is the biggest energy water in a typical home. And, can account for up to 40 percent of a home's cooling and heating energy use.

Crystal Air & Water, Inc. offers duct sealing utilizing a state of the art testing computerized system. With our leak testing software, we can measure air-tightness and flow rates through the air handler and registers. With this method, the guess-work is eliminated. We are able to confidentially seal the openings at the point of leaks.

Thermostats

The efficiency of your heating and cooling system is affected by the thermostat controlling them. Crystal Air & Water, Inc. can improve efficiencies with programmable thermostats that provide great returns on a small investment.

Carbon Monoxide Detectors

Carbon Monoxide (CO) is released during inefficient or poorly vented combustion of almost any type of fuel. When present in a home, CO can cause flu-like symptoms and even death. Installing the right Carbon Monoxide detector can save the lives of you and your family. Most Carbon Monoxide detectors only alarm when CO emissions reach dangerous levels. At that point, you may become incapacitated and unable to save your life.

Other air quality products

Crystal Air & Water, Inc. professionals are the indoor air quality specialists.

• Dehumidifiers

• Zoned cooling and heating:
A zoned system supplies warm or cool air only to those areas that require it - energy isn't wasted heating and cooling spaces that aren't being used. In a typical zoning system, sensors in each zone monitor and control the temperature in a specific area or room. These sensors send information to a central controller that opens or closes motorized dampers in the ductwork. We use Honeywell Zone Systems.
